After completing their initial familiarisation and flying training on the Bulldog
and Tucano two-seat
aircraft, trainee Royal Air Force Navigators progress to the Dominie T1. This is
a much larger aircraft, being a development of the early versions of the HS125
executive jet. Equipped as a flying classroom, the Dominie carries a wide range
of navigation equipment and training is carried out at low, medium and high
altitudes. Fast-jet navigators complete their training on the Hawk
before progressing to an operational conversion unit.
