Tidigare hade vi i Sverige haft ganska små lätta dukklädda flygplan. B-3 var ett stort helmetallplan med två motorer och kunde bära med sig ett ton last. Flygplanets tankar rymde 1700 liter bränsle och hade 4 mans besättning. Startvikten var 8000 kilo. Endast ett flygplan finns bevarat det finns på Flygvapenmuseum.
